Why Choose
Lip Correction Right for You?
This advanced service is specifically for clients who have naturally dark, cool-toned, or hyperpigmented lips. It is also suitable for clients with uneven pigmentation caused by sun damage or old lip tattoos. We use warm-toned pigments to counteract the cool or dark melanin, neutralising the lips to a balanced, even shade.
If your lips are naturally pale or even-toned, you do not need this correction and can book a standard Lip Blushing or Lip Contouring session immediately. Find out more on our Lip Blushing and Contouring category page or the Cosmetic Tattooing hub.

Expect
What to Expect
Lip correction always requires an assessment-led consultation first. Once we determine the right neutralising path, we apply a premium numbing cream.
Our certified artists then tattoo a specialised warm pigment (often orange or yellow-based) into the dark areas to counteract the cool tones. Immediately after the session, the lips will look very bright. As they heal over the next few weeks, the warm pigment mixes with the natural melanin to create a beautiful, neutral pink or nude tone. Multiple sessions are often required to achieve the final target colour.

Touch-Up
Your 1 to 2 Month Perfecting Touch-Up
Because correcting dark lips is a complex process, a perfecting touch-up at 1 to 2 months is booked as a necessary, stand-alone service. During this separate follow-up, we assess how the neutralising pigments have healed. If the lips are fully neutralised, we can then safely tattoo your desired final target colour. If stubborn dark patches remain, we will continue the neutralisation process.
safety
Safety and Aftercare
Corrective work requires advanced training and strict hygiene. We exclusively use sterile single-use equipment and premium hypoallergenic pigments. During healing, keep the lips heavily moisturised and avoid spicy foods. We cannot perform this procedure if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking blood thinners. As lip tattooing can trigger cold sores, we will carefully review antiviral precautions during your free consultation.
